Last weekend, Rutgers senior Perry Christie won the gold medal in the high jump at the 2021 Big Ten Indoor Championships in Geneva, Ohio.
The school record holder cleared a height of 2.18m (7’ 1.75”) to win the Big Ten title by two and three-quarter inches. He earned First Team All-Big Ten honors with his victory. It was the second medal of Christie’s career at the Big Ten Indoor Championships, having won the bronze last year.
Can’t say enough of how proud I am of this young man. Blessed to be a part of his journey.
