Nebraska threw up fewer bricks, so it prevailed in this rock fight.
The Cornhuskers received 23 points from Isaac Copeland, 18 from James Palmer and shot a few ticks better than Rutgers en route to an ugly 60-54 win on Wednesday night at the Rutgers Athletics Center in Piscataway.
Nebraska turned it over 11 times in the second half, shot just under 40 percent (21-for-53) and went almost seven minutes without a field goal at one point. The Scarlet Knights made 22 shots from the floor, but they shot 12 more overall (65), proving again defense can only get them so far as they dropped their second straight game and sixth in their last eight.
