It's still early. And the games have been close. Nonetheless, the men's team is still in last place in the conference, despite the fact that its overall record is no worse than third place Northwestern. The loss to Penn State was in last week's monsoons, which included a 2 1/2 hour power outage delay. And despite all that, the head coach felt good about the team's play.
"The guys deserve so much more than that score line. The second goal was against a run play typical of a game where you are pressing and chasing to get that tying goal," said head coach Dan Donigan.
