Despite adding numerous play-makers to the fold in February, the Rutgers staff knows it must recruit the skill positions hard each year, to avoid the pitfalls of 2017.
Hence, Friday, the Knights issued an offer to Elijah Jones, a 6-3, 180-pound three-star out of Cardinal Hayes (Bronx, N.Y.) -- the same school it landed wide receiver Shameen Jones (no relation) out of, just last year.
"I like Rutgers," Jones told NJ.com. "I have a teammate there already (Shameen), and we're really close friends and cool together. And at the spring game I saw progress, which was good.
