PISCATAWAY – Whenever the Rutgers football team has to run from one end of the practice field to the other between drills, 313-pound left tackle Tariq Cole tries to be the first arrival.
There is no benefit in using the time to catch his breath knowing that something tiring is awaiting.
“I use it to try to get in shape for football,” Cole said, “because this fast offense is killer on guys who aren’t in shape. To have as much energy as you possibly can in this offense is great.”
In new spread offense, @RFootball O-line has a need for speed.
