Rutgers quarterback Noah Vedral was announced as a 2021 semifinalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy on Wednesday, which is awarded to college football’s top scholar-athlete. The annual award is given by the National Football Foundation. Criteria includes combined academic success, football performance and exemplary leadership.
Vedral completed his undergraduate degree in communications studies with a 3.96 GPA at Nebraska and currently holds a perfect 4.0 GPA as a graduate student at Rutgers. He is studying for a master’s degree in communication, information and media.
The senior captain is a two-time Big Ten Distinguished Scholar.
On the field this season, Vedral has completed 76 of 112 passes for a 67.
