Despite missing key contributors, the Rutgers men's lacrosse team was able to cruise to a 16-8 victory over St. John’s in the season opener for both teams.
The Scarlet Knights were led by pre season All American Jules Heningburg, who finished the day with a team leading four goals. Freshman attackman Kieran Mullins really stood out in his first career game, finishing with two goals and two assists.
One part of the game that was impressive, was the improvement from the Rutgers midfielders. Chad Toliver, Casey Rose, and Jeff George made up the first line of midfielders, and they combined for 4 goals.
