After a 2-0 start to the 2019 season for Rutgers men’s soccer, the good news continued on Wednesday, as freshman Jorgen Wisth Lie was named the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week. The Norwegian converted a penalty kick in both victories, including the game winner against Temple in the season opener. On Monday, Lie tied the score against Drexel before fellow freshman Jackson Temple delivered the equalizer soon after to clinch the win.
Lie is one of five newcomers to join Rutgers from overseas as part of head coach Jim McElderry’s first recruiting class.
