It was announced yesterday that Rutgers had 62 student-athletes named to the Fall Academic All-Big Ten team. To qualify, they must be letterwinners in the second year at their respective institution and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
The football team had the most student-athletes named with 17 players, including 13 members of the senior class. Notables include captains Julian Pinnix-Odrick and Derrick Nelson, as well as Sebastian Joseph, Quanzell Lambert, Justin Goodwin, Trevor Morris, John Tsimis, and David Bonagura.
The field hockey team had 12 student-athletes named, including senior captain Alyssa Bull, who was also named to the Second Team All-Big Ten for her performance on the field.
