Rising junior Chris Gotterup has had a memorable summer on the links, as the Rutgers golfer won the 117th Met Amateur Championship this past weekend at Hudson National Golf Club in Hudson, New York. The Tournament format was single elimination match play and Gotterup, representing Rumson Country Club, was the no. 3 seed. He defeated Penn State’s Ryan Davis, who represented New Jersey National Golf Club by producing a birdie on the 13th hole, to take a seven stroke lead with five holes to play, ending the Championship round.
