Rutgers Football: Week one report card

September 9, 2015 by Chris Schulz

Rutgers began their 2015 college football season with a trouncing victory over the Norfolk State Spartans 63-13. Instead of talking about in-game matchups and coaching strategies pregame, headlines circled around Rutgers head coach Kyle Flood and his job security as well as the five players dismissed from the football program before the season opener following arrests stemming from aggravated assault charges amongst other allegations. Flood is still currently being investigated for a possible violation of impermissible contact with a faculty member concerning the academic status of a player so it is still possible the Scarlet Knights could be without their head coach for the remainder of the season.
