Sunday, Jutwreten officially confirmed his Rutgers pledge to various news outlets, after committing via Twitter almost two weeks ago. NJ.com reported his commitment when he originally pledged, despite his Twitter announcement post being taken down twice at the time. However, he'd remained steadfast throughout the ordeal as both he and the staff always had intentions of him signing to RU on traditional signing day. Originally, there were a number of other outstanding targets, so it made since that the staff didn't necessarily want to show its hand. Plus, keeping his pledge on the low prevents other schools from latching on.
