Rutgers junior walk-on linebacker Izaia Bullock has been charged with two counts of first-degree attempted murder and two counts of first-degree conspiracy to commit murder, Advance Media’s Joe Brandt and Keith Sargeant reported Tuesday.
The report stated that the “the charges came after determining that on Monday, Bullock initiated a plot to murder the family members of an acquaintance.” The arrest was announced by Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew Carey and Rutgers Police Chief Kenneth Cop. Soon after, Rutgers announced that Bullock had been dismissed from the football team and was being reviewed by the university.
The charges and dismissal come during the same season that eight players were removed from the roster due to being arrested for credit card fraud.
