PISCATAWAY – The month of June and the state of New York are becoming keys for Rutgers football.
Rutgers picked up a commitment Wednesday from three-star linebacker recruit Elias Reynolds out of Poly Prep in Brooklyn. Reynolds plays under coach Dino Mangiero, a Rutgers Football Hall of Famer.
“Reynolds was one of Kyle Flood’s top linebacker targets,” ScarletReport.com’s Sam Hellman said.
“Rutgers recruits New York well, and we should see even more of that heading into the skills camp this weekend. Reynolds fills a need at outside linebacker with Jonathan Pollock as the middle linebacker in the class.
