Rutgers football announced on Friday night that the program is pausing in-person activities due to a “spike in positive tests for COVID-19.”
Spring practice was scheduled to begin next week but that will not be the case now.
The press release stated the following:
“Since returning to campus from Spring Break, Rutgers Football has experienced a spike in positive tests for COVID-19. With the health and safety of our players and staff in mind, the decision has been made to pause all in-person team activities. We will continue to work with our medical experts, and state and local officials to determine next steps.
