The Rutgers field hockey team continues to shine this season and earned its highest national ranking on Tuesday after a pair of Big Ten victories last weekend.
After defeating then #15 Northwestern on the road last Friday, the Scarlet Knights dominated Indiana 4-0 on Sunday. Rutgers is now 11-4 on the season and 3-4 in conference play. They’ll host #7 Iowa (12-4; 4-3) this Friday at 3 p.m. before closing out the regular season on Sunday at home against American (7-5). Rutgers continues to march towards its first NCAA bid since 1986. Their current RPI ranking is 11th in the country and have an opportunity to move up this weekend, as Iowa is 12th and American is 29th.
