It was clear that Rutgers felt scorned after losing in heartbreaking fashion to Iowa on a last second bank three-pointer from the corner two weeks ago. This young team swore they were coming for the Hawkeyes in the rematch and they were able to get even in a big way on Saturday night, blowing out no. 22/21 Iowa on its home court on senior night. It was the first road win against a ranked team and first time they’ve had two ranked wins in a season for the program in 11 years. The Scarlet Knights played tremendous defense holding the highest scoring team in Big Ten play points below it’s season average.
