Rutgers University’s football program has dismissed five players from the team following their arrests earlier this week for their role in a home invasion. Sam Hellman of Scout.com reported the development.

Interestingly enough, Barnwell has been dismissed despite his name being the focal point of an investigation involving Scarlet Knights coach Kyle Flood. Allegedly, Flood violated direct orders from university higher-ups to not directly contact a professor of Barnwell’s to inquire about the junior cornerback’s academic status.
