PISCATAWAY – Will he play or won’t he? Nadir Barnwell isn’t letting on, if he knows.
The matter of Barnwell’s academic eligibility – an issue that could prevent the most experienced cornerback on the Rutgers football team from playing as a junior – didn’t gain any clarity Sunday when the Piscataway native addressed his status for the first time at media day.
“Right now, I really can’t comment on that,” Barnwell told a pack of reporters. “I’m just focusing on myself and getting my body right. Taking it day by day and trying to win every game.
