Gary Nova may be out of the Rutgers football program, but Kyle Flood isn’t done offering a vote of confidence to the quarterback to whom he was inseparably tied for the last three years.
Nova, who won two open competitions to be the starter at Rutgers and started 36 of the first 39 games of the Flood era, was not signed by the Giants out of a rookie mini-camp tryout last week and remains an undrafted NFL free agent.
But the Rutgers coach doesn’t expect that to be the case once the season draws near.
“I’ll be shocked when the training camps open up if Gary is not signed somewhere,” Flood said Thursday night at Miami Mike’s Sports Zone in East Hanover.
