Rutgers coach Kyle Flood not concerned with lack of public support from administration

If Kyle Flood is going to be retained as Rutgers' head coach, the university's administration sure is doing a good job keeping the secret.

Flood's job security has been the source of intensifying public speculation as his team has stumbled to a 4-7 record and the program has been besieged by off-field issues, including Flood's three-game suspension for violating a university compliance policy.

While the calls for Flood to be fired have grown louder in recent weeks, university president Robert Barchi, board of governors chairman Greg Brown and athletic director Julie Hermann have declined to publicly endorse the fourth-year coach, who has three years remaining on a contract extension signed in September 2014.
