Rutgers coach Kyle Flood says he has "no reason to believe'' he won't be the coach of his football team for the season opener Saturday versus Norfolk State, and continues to be respectful to the university-led investigation.
Flood remains under investigation for a possible violation of impermissible contact stemming from an email he allegedly sent a faculty member regarding the academic status of a player, and the discipline measures include a public reprimand, a suspension or a termination based on the terms of the compliance provisions of his contract.
During his weekly press conference Tuesday afternoon, Flood was asked whether he believes he will be the one to lead the Scarlet Knights out of the tunnel and whether he has any contingency plans in place if that's not the case.
