BEDMINSTER TOWNSHIP -- Chris Ash isn't an avid golfer. But when Pat Morris approached him about continuing a charity-golf outing to benefit Central Jersey organizations that help children, the Rutgers football coach said "it was a no-brainer.''
"It's something that's been going on for a while,'' Ash said Monday morning as approximately 300 golfers prepped for the Chris Ash Charity Golf Classic at Fiddler's Elbow Country Club. "I obviously had to be educated on the event and the charities that it supports, and the difference that it makes. Once Pat Morris, who is the director of the outing, came up to me and talked about what the outing is all about and the difference that it makes in the lives of the kids, I said, 'why not?
