Rutgers Head Coach Kyle Flood and Athletic Director Julie Hermann couldn’t escape the onslaught of firings on Sunday.
Rutgers has fired both coming off a 4-8 season for the Scarlet Knights.
Flood has been with the program since 2005, but didn’t become its head coach until 2012. Since then, he recorded a 27-24 record. Rutgers joined the Big Ten in 2014 and owns a 12-13 (4-12 Big Ten) record since.
As CBSSports.com reports, Flood also had off-the-field issues this year that could have factored into a decision.
Flood was suspended for three games, and fined $50,000 earlier this season following a school investigation into rules violations.
