Chris Mirabelli, a junior, advanced to the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships for a second consecutive year in the Javelin after qualifying a few days ago at the East Regional in Lexington, Kentucky. He was the lone Rutgers athlete to qualify for the NCAA Championships out of the eight Scarlet Knights that participated in the Regional meet.

Mirabelli won his second consecutive Big Ten Javelin outdoor title earlier this month at the conference championship meet held at Penn State.
