EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Chris Ash believes things are coming together for Rutgers, and he plans to focus on that vision headed into the offseason.
The issue is, it will likely be hard for him to get many others outside his program to view the Scarlet Knights through a similar lens.
Rutgers finished 1-11 for the 2018 season after Saturday's hard-fought 14-10 loss to Michigan State here at Spartan Stadium. The Scarlet Knights ended the year with an 11-game losing streak, which will be the nation's longest entering 2019, and failed to win a game in Big Ten play for the second time in three seasons under Ash, who is now 7-29 at Rutgers, giving him the worst winning percentage of any coach in school history by a hair over Terry Shea.
