Rutgers coach Chris Ash closed out the last practice of Michigan Week, but he had his team receive a special message beforehand.
Members of the Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey's Military Affinity Group and Rutgers ROTC cadets attended practice and spoke to the team ahead of Saturday's "Military Appreciation Day" when the Scarlet Knights host the No. 4-ranked Wolverines at HighPoint.com Stadium. Kickoff is 3:30 p.m.
"It's a special day for our program," Ash said after practice. "I think Rutgers does a great job of celebrating and showing appreciation, honoring the people in the service.
