PISCATAWAY -- C. Vivian Stringer's new contract finally is in place.
The Rutgers University Board of Governors called a special meeting Thursday to approve the new deal for Stringer, according to a notice sent in compliance with the Open Public Meetings Law.
It is expected to be an incentive-laden four-year contract, sources told NJ Advance Media. The starting salary remains unknown, but a source said the coach will receive a "slight" raise.
Stringer is entering the final year of a contract signed in May 2014.
