PISCATAWAY – How do you penalize a football team for being too penalized?
“I’ve seen a lot of things,” Rutgers interim head coach Norries Wilson said. “Run gassers and do up-downs.”
But Rutgers is going to take a show-and-tell approach to solving one of its biggest on-field issues, as only five of the 127 teams in the FBS have committed more than its 38 penalties through four games.
“We’ve got to show them what the penalties are,” Wilson said. “We are going to keep harping at it. I don’t foresee us penalizing guys for having penalties in the ball game.
