Rutgers board to vote on athletics facility naming rights

NEW BRUNSWICK — Rutgers University has called a special meeting of its Board of Governors to finalize the naming rights of its new multi-sports athletic facility, according to the university.

The board will meet via teleconference at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, 90 minutes before a groundbreaking ceremony for the nearly 300,000-square-foot facility near the Rutgers Athletic Center.

The university has yet to reveal the leading contender for the naming rights, but multiple sources told NJ Advance Media that RWJ Barnabas Health, New Jersey's largest hospital and medical network, is expected to secure the rights.
