PISCATAWAY Rutgers will put in place additional security measures Saturday in the area surrounding High Point Point Solutions Stadium, which is hosting its first football game since the Sept. 12 postgame altercation that led to the arrest of star player Leonte Carroo.
“The safety and security of the Rutgers community is always a top priority,” athletics director Julie Hermann said in a statement to Gannett New Jersey.
“Gameday security and procedures are assessed on a weekly basis to maximize effectiveness. Additional measures will be in place for this Saturday’s Homecoming game. We do not discuss the details of security, as it could compromise the security we provide.
