Rutgers freshman Anna-Maria Diederichs earned Big Ten Women’s Golfer of the Week honors on Wednesday after a third place finish at the Lady Blue Hen Invitational last weekend. She golfed a three-round score of 219 (72-75-72) in the 68 player field at Rehoboth Beach Country Club. She is the first Rutgers women’s golfer to earn the conference’s weekly honor as a freshman.
Diederich finished the fall season with back to back top five finishes, as she finished in a tie for fourth place in the 60 player field at the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitatonal at Sahalee Country Club earlier this month.
