PISCATAWAY — Norries Wilson served his final game as Rutgers interim head coach Saturday night in the Scarlet Knights' 31-24 heartbreaking loss to Michigan State as Kyle Flood sat out for the final phase of his three-game suspension.
Wilson, who guided the Scarlet Knights to a 1-2 record with Flood serving his discipline as a result of violating a university compliance policy, will presumably return to his role as running backs coach with Flood permitted to coach next Saturday's game at Indiana.
Julie Hermann, for one, said Rutgers is "truly lucky'' that Wilson "was here to step in'' to handle the game-day head coaching duties.
