EAST LANSING, Mich. -- In its first three years in the Big Ten, Rutgers ended its season by playing Maryland.
Last season, the Scarlet Knights ended their campaign by playing host to Michigan State.
And now Rutgers will end its second straight year against Michigan State on Saturday, traveling to meet the Spartans for a 4 p.m. Saturday kickoff on what's known all around college football as rivalry weekend.
The Big Ten, which sets up the yearly conference schedule, apparently has no interest in setting up season-ending rival for Rutgers.
