Hall of Fame women's basketball coach C. Vivian Stringer, who needs just 23 wins to reach the 1,000-win milestone, has agreed to a new deal with Rutgers through the 2020-21 season, according to a report.
The 69-year-old coach will get a raise as part of a new four-year deal that tacks on three additional seasons to her current contract, which was due to expire after this upcoming season, according to NJ Advance Media.
The contract still must be approved by the board of governors, which is due to meet Thursday.
Stringer is entering her 22nd season at Rutgers.
