Keith Sargeant of NJ Advance Media reported on Wednesday that the Rutgers baseball team has stopped team workouts due to six players testing positive for COVID-19. Per Sargeant’s report, “The baseball team is expected to be sidelined for at least a week, according to one of the individuals. A Rutgers athletics spokesman declined comment on the matter.”
This is the second time that a Rutgers team has stopped workouts due to having players test positive for COVID-19. The football program announced on July 25 that six players tested positive and stopped workouts to quarantine the entire program.
