According to a report from nj.com, Chris Laviano is transferring from Rutgers. Laviano started 18 consecutive games for the Scarlet Knights over two seasons, throwing for 2,247 yards and 16 touchdowns as a Junior and 748 yards and five touchdowns this season.
According to the report, Laviano, who plans on graduating in the spring, will be a graduate transfer and will not be able to join his new team until the summer.
Laviano had an up and down career for the Scarlet Knights and this season was the definition of square peg in a round hole as he did not fit into offensive coordinator Drew Mehringer’s power spread offense.
