PISCATAWAY — Rutgers and Washington State engaged in a shootout on Saturday. The Scarlet Knights lost, 37-34, because many of their bullets went into their own feet.
Turnovers, penalties, poor game management — Rutgers covered all of the bases on Saturday. And despite those mistakes the Knights still were in position to win before a few more mistakes on Washington State's final drive sealed their fate.
