Well, that was fast. After committing on April 16 after an unofficial campus visit, Rachad Wildgoose Jr. decommitted today and is reopening his recruitment. The rangy defensive back had been heavily recruited by defensive backs coach Henry Baker, and his quick, high-power, aggressive style seemed to fit in well with the style of play Coach Ash and his staff have been promoting.
Wildgoose made his official announcement via Twitter earlier today:
The 3-star Northwestern (Miami, FL) was the first 2018 commit. At the time of his commitment, Rutgers was his only offer. Wildgoose Jr. had transferred schools three times in the last four years, which may have contributed to his lack of early offers.
