Q&A with Kevin Wilkins | Why Rutgers' defensive end is 'never satisfied'

Kevin Wilkins appeared in all 24 Rutgers games the past two seasons as the team’s backup nose tackle, recording 6.5 tackles-for-loss and 29 overall. The 6-foot-2, 306-pounder out of St. Joseph-Montvale has made a smooth transition to defensive end this fall, recording 30 tackles and five TFL’s while starting seven of nine games.

Not that he’s satisfied with what appears, to outside observers, like a breakthrough campaign.

“We’ve got a culture where we’re never satisfied,’’ Wilkins said. “That drives the unit. It gives us an opportunity to go out and get better every time out.
