PISCATAWAY -- How badly did Ross Douglas want his fresh start at Rutgers?
Douglas put aside all outside interests to hit the books in the spring semester and graduate from Michigan in less than four years. A few months later, he was playing against his former team at safety for Rutgers last week.
After an injury-plagued start to the season, Douglas is healthy and expected to bring a much-needed veteran presence to the secondary as the second half of the season gets underway at noon Saturday against Illinois.
I caught up with him to talk about his history with Rutgers coach Chris Ash, his love of American history, and why he made his Playstaton history.
