Princeton and Rutgers combined for five medalists at the U.S. Open and UWW Junior Nationals this weekend in Las Vegas.
Princeton's Nathan Jackson took fifth at 79 kilograms in senior freestyle competition at the Open, while Lenny Merkin was third at 72kg in the UWW Greco-Roman tournament and incoming freshman Travis Stefanik (Nazareth Area) was fifth at 79kg in the UWW freestyle competition. Rutgers' Matt Correnti took fourth at 97kg in UWW freestyle.
All four wrestlers competed for the New Jersey Regional Training Center; Rutgers' Eleazar DeLuca rounded out the five-man group by finishing seventh at 72kg in the Open's senior Greco competition.
