Patrick Kivlehan gets The Call From the San Diego Padres

After only two weeks spent in San Diego’s minor league organization, Patrick Kivlehan got the call that some people wait their entire lives and never receive.

Drafted originally by the Seattle Mariners in 2012, Kivlehan has struggled to move out of the Triple A organizations with the Mariners, then to the Texas Rangers, and back again to the Mariners. Waived by the Mariners early this month, the Padres called him off waivers, quickly realized Patrick’s potential, and tonight moved him up to the parent club.

Kivlehan was on the Scarlet Knights football squad for four years as a holder as well as a safety.
