Official Press Release on Firing of Eddie Jordan

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (March 10, 2016) - Rutgers University Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Patrick Hobbs announced today that Eddie Jordan has been dismissed as head men’s basketball coach.

“I have decided that we need new leadership for our men’s basketball program,” said Hobbs. “Rutgers University is deeply appreciative of Coach Jordan's efforts these past three years. He is and will always remain a valued member of the Rutgers Community.”

Named the 18th head coach in the history of Rutgers men’s basketball on April 23, 2013, Jordan compiled 29-68 record in three seasons.
