A week after taking his official visit to Rutgers with two future teammates, Coatesville, Pennsylvania defensive back Avery Young has signed his National Letter of Intent to officially become a Scarlet Knight.
A 3-star rated cornerback, Young committed back on June 30th and remained firm in his commitment despite offers from other D-1 schools, including Maryland and Syracuse.
In a recent conversation with NJ.com, Young showed passion and determination to make an early impact in the Rutgers secondary. Standing at 6-foot-1, 195 pounds, Young has the length and athleticism to compete as a boundary corner in the Big Ten.
