After No. 3 Rutgers field hockey suffered a 3-0 defeat to No. 2 Michigan on Friday, the Scarlet Knights responded with a 3-1 victory over No. 18 Ohio State (7-9; 1-6) on Sunday. Both games took place on the road as RU is now 13-3 overall this season and 5-2 in Big Ten play. Their win over the Buckeyes is a program record ten victories against ranked foes in a season, including seven coming on the road.
Against OSU, true freshman Lucy Bannatyne scored twice for the first time in her career to tie Milena Redlingshoefer for a team high six goals this season.
