The no. 24 Rutgers women’s lacrosse team won its second come from behind victory in just under a week with a 12-9 win over no. 19 Ohio State on Friday. It was the home opener for the Scarlet Knights and they closed out the game with 6-2 second half scoring advantage. It was the program’s first win over a ranked opponent since RU beat James Madison in 2017 and first time they’ve won consecutive Big Ten games since 2016.
Rutgers was led by senior captain Taralyn Naslonski as she scored five goals and added an assist. She is seven goals away from reaching 100 for her career and passed Kristina Dunphey to move into 18th place in program history with 126 total points.
