The Rutgers women’s rowing team continued to make waves last weekend with the varsity four boat beating no. 7 Princeton and then no. 12, now no. 11 Wisconsin, as well as Columbia, at Lake Carnegie in Princeton, NJ. On Tuesday, they earned Big Ten Boat of the Week honors for their performance.
The Rutgers varsity four boat was comprised of Mackenzie George, Olivia Betz, Olivia Maxton, Emily Meade and coxswain Rachel Usen. They won the race with a time of 7:19.4, which was over two seconds faster than Wisconsin and nine seconds ahead of Princeton. Columbia finished over thirty seconds behind.
