While the Rutgers women’s soccer team saw the Big Ten Tournament end in disappointment with a heartbreaking 2-1 defeat in overtime to Michigan last Friday, they officially lived to fight another day. It was announced on the NCAA Tournament Selection Show on Monday late afternoon that Rutgers earned a 4 seed and will host Central Connecticut State on Friday, Nov. 15 for a 7 PM match at Yurcak Field. It is the eighth consecutive NCAA Tournament berth for the program and 14th overall.
The Scarlet Knights enter this year’s NCAA postseason run with a 15-3-2 overall record and finished in second place in the Big Ten regular season with an 8-2-1 record.
