N.J.'s top CB Donovan Bunch commits to Rutgers Scarlet Knights

On January 5, Rutgers became the first program to extend Donovan Bunch an offer. And on Sunday, Rutgers became the school that earned his pledge.

A 5-11, 170-pound three-star cornerback with elite twitch, Bunch picked Rutgers over 14 other offers, including Boston College Temple and Virginia -- the other perceived teams at the top.

He also held offers from Duke, Georgia Tech, Maryland, N.C. State, Pitt, Syacuse, West Virginia, Buffalo, Kent State, UMass and Holy Cross.

Bunch gave head coach Chris Ash his pledge while attending Rutgers' Sunday barbecue on the banks, which featured some of the top recruits in the region, coming off performances at the Rivals 3-Stripe Camp, held at Piscataway high.
